On 23 June 2026, the final meeting of Shared RDM Services & Infrastructure took place at Graz University of Technology. Representatives from the partner universities came together to review the project results, exchange experiences and celebrate the successful collaboration over the past three years.

The meeting began with a focus on cross-university collaboration and the milestones achieved. The project management team presented their activities, ranging from events organised to the collaborative and co-ordinative tasks required by a dynamic and motivated consortium. This was followed by insights into the operational models for shared services that had been discussed, as well as the RDM tool use cases from the pilot universities.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to the RDM tools and communities developed within the project. Current developments relating to DAMAP were presented, with a particular emphasis on the DAMAP Cloud, the further development of eLabFTW and the associated ELN community, as well as progress on repository solutions: InvenioRDM and PHAIDRA. The results of the ‘Shared Competences’ work package were also presented, including the joint webinar series and the findings from the data steward survey.

The meeting provided an opportunity not only to reflect on the project’s results, but also to highlight the structures and partnerships that had developed over the course of the three-year project. In the closing session, the project was officially brought to a close and an outlook was given on future joint activities and collaborations.

The event concluded with a group dinner on the Schlossberg in Graz. In an informal atmosphere, the professional exchange continued and the connections that had grown over the course of the project were reaffirmed – a fitting conclusion to a project that thrives on cooperation and shared expertise.
