Name: Austrian Research Information & Service Network (ARI&Snet) Cloud
Category/purpose: Cloud-based OpenShift platform for research and teaching support services
Description: ARI&Snet is based on OpenShift, a Kubernetes distribution, on a cloud platform hosted in Austria. The infrastructure is maintained by TU Wien on behalf of all participating universities. ARI&Snet is connected to eduID/eduGAIN, allowing members of other institutions to log in to applications.
Target group: This infrastructure is intended for cooperation projects between universities. One or more universities offer their services in the field of academic research or administration to other Austrian universities, and ARI&Snet provides the hosting infrastructure.
Costs: If you wish to operate a service on ARI&Snet, you must either be a member of a participating Austrian institution or collaborate with such an institution.
